Don't Panic!

Now, I'm a hoopy frood who knows where his towel is, so everybody, just breathe deep and relax.

We're still the top ranked team in the NFC. Our remaining games are against the Bears, the Niners, and the Vikings. We could win out or we could drop the Vikings game, which won't matter if the Vikings lose their game vs GB the week before and if the Eagles lose to either the Commanders (meh) or the Cowboys (ugh). In other words, we might not have to win out to hold onto the division, but we probably do have to win out if we want to hold onto the 1 seed.

The good news is we can absolutely win out with this roster as is. Gibbs is a top 5 back, and if we weren't splitting carries between him and Montgomery, Gibbs would be right behind Saquon and Henry. We've got 3 good receivers with Patrick coming out the past couple of weeks. Goff is just getting better and better. We've got the top offense in the NFC, and that's not changing.

On the defensive side, losing Mac and Davis is really going to hurt, but the Bears and the Niners aren't the teams to punish us for it. We'll have AA coming back probably for our last game, and right now we've got guys like Iffy and Moseley getting ready to come back this week or next. We've had several backups step up in the meantime... our defense won't be "good" like it was in the first 10 weeks or so, but it'll be good enough.

Let's be real - we're not going to face anybody as tough as the Bills, short of a NFC Championship matchup with Philly. We've got a couple of games here to get right before the crucial week 18 game.
